Recent Findings: Woodgrain Embossed Cardstock and A Ribbon Iron

I think I may have found the PERFECT woodgrain paper after stumbling upon Heidi’s Card!

I noticed that her cardstock was woodgrain EMBOSSED!!! So, I googled it and stumbled upon these:

******My Next Finding******

Do you suffer from wrinkled ribbon??? I DO! I store mine in big bins, so it gets all wrinkled! Well, I went to purchase a ribbon iron and they were out of stock…

SO, I was doing some thinking and decided to try using my flat-iron!

That’s right, my hair FLAT-IRON, and IT WORKED!

Here are some tips:

  • Heat your flat-iron on a low-medium setting depending on the type of ribbon.
  • First, try it on your ribbon scraps.
  • Do not PULL the ribbon through, as you would your hair. Just take the ribbon and iron it in sections. If you pull, it might ruin your ribbon by pulling individual strands.

The Boys at Thanksgiving

How was your Thanksgiving?

Ours was full of stress (yes, cooking for my family can still be stressful with two toddlers), laughs (CJ told his first knock-knock joke), and love!

Here are some pictures from the day. They managed to dig into the food before I could get that “money shot”!

CJ, stained shirt and all!
