Hello fellow crafters!
Today, the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing “Make Lemonade” another mini-set not short on cuteness 😉
I decided to make a wall hanging with one of my favorite adages, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” I altered the color of the “Jump for Joy” Bright Side paper by using a yellow Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelato and my fingertips! I thought the circles resembled lemon slices. It was super easy! And then I used Jessie’s ABCs and various Memento Dew Drop inks to create the white word panel.
Here’s a quick video showing the Gelato technique I used on the paper:

Hope you enjoyed the video!
I wanted to give a quick shout-out to one of my favorite crafty peeps evah… RYANN! Congratulations on your Moxie Fabber of the Week feature! You can find Ryann’s Blog, Freshly Squeezed HERE (very appropriate for today’s post, lol) and see her feature HERE!
Hello again lovelies!
Today, the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the “Dad’s Day” mini stamp set! I chose to create a mini curio display made all of cardstock by using my eClips, eCAL software, and a file from SVGCuts.com (love their stuff)! My Sizzix eClips cuts like butter! I never have any issues and it makes these sorts of projects SO much easier.
I used the Upbeat kraft patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s Bright Side Collection and some Java Bazzill cardstock. To emphasize the stamped easy chair and mustache, I stamped and fussy cut 2 other identical images to layer onto foam squares. The little vial is a Tim Holtz idea-ology corked vial and contains a little note from all the kids to Chris
Hope you enjoyed my take on Dad’s Day!
All throughout the weekend, the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing some never-before-seen summer sets! The set we’re previewing today is Sunny Skies!
We don’t get many Sunny Skies here in WA….lol!
My layout started off with the basic die-cutting (using my Sizzix eClips, cutting blade depth of 4, speed 4, pressure 4) of the 3 circle cut-outs from the cream colored Bazzill cardstock. Here’s a screenshot of my eCAL:
Then I added the larger gradient chevron papers from the Bright Side Collection behind the cut-outs and built my layout from there!
Here’s what my journaling reads:
“Most days in Washington are cold, dreary, and rainy. But, you two, CJ and Liam, make it so much brighter with your silly jokes, big bold smiles, and warm cuddles. You are my sunshine(s). ~Mama”
Sunny Skies is perfect for paper piecing! I used the 6×6 Bright Side Collection to paper piece the clouds, sun, and kites. Then I used the reverse/white side of the scraps to piece the birds and banner from Bannerific!
Be sure to check out the rest of the design team on the Lawn Fawn Blog!
