Hello Blogosphere & Happy Mother’s Day weekend!
I don’t know about you, but what I always hope for on Mother’s Day is a day off & something handmade from the kiddos! This card is the perfect gift for any Mama out there: Grandmas, Aunties, Great-Grandmas. WHY? Because it incorporates ARTwork from the kiddos & a PHOTO! All moms like photos of their littles

Happy Mother’s Day!
Before I go into card deets, here’s a little shout-out to my mama…
To my Mama: You got pregnant with me at 16. When times get tough for me I think, “why the heck am I complaining?” Then I call you & you humor me by giving me the best advice ever. “Calm down,” you say, “it’s not that bad.” You would know, you lived BAD. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made to put food on the table, a roof over my head, and clothes on my back. I know I complained. I complained a lot. At 10,12, and 16 I didn’t understand how precarious our situation was. My own kids will never know how good they have it until they’re parents themselves & I guess that’s the key to being a mom. Keep your kids safe, love them unconditionally, & provide them with the best opportunities you possibly can. Do those 3 things and everything will fall into place. Thank you for teaching me that. Thank you for everything. Love, Your PITA
I am forever thankful to all the Mothers in my life- all military spouses, all hardworking, fierce, loving women. My Grandma’s compassion and selfless service makes me strive to be a better human being. My Nana’s relentless work ethic pushes me to do more and be the best me I can be. My Auntie Terrie’s generosity, unwavering love, and drive have helped get me through some challenging times, even giving birth to my first-born. To my Auntie Goldie, who cares for my Grandpa even while her own health fades, I love you.
To all of those who grieve today for having lost your children and for having lost your own mothers- I hear your cries. I feel your pain. Know that I am thinking of you. Know that you are loved.
To my friends who could never have children of their own, know that I am thinking of you. Hugs for peace. Hugs always.
To all the moms out there who chose adoption, to all the foster moms, and step-moms- thank you for being selfless servants. For providing hope & love during dark times. Generations will thank you & cherish you.
To all the single moms out there, thank you for being both dad & mom. For doing the nearly impossible during impossible times. For proving people & statistics wrong time and time again. For raising strong men & unstoppable women. We honor you.
Cheers,
