CHA Anaheim: Paper Crafts Magazine, Stamp It! Cards

My "year book"!

Let me preface this post saying, “I’m a big dork!” First of all, I think I scared Susan Opel! When I was talking to Kelly and Tenia near the Paper Crafts Booth, I didn’t realize Susan was standing right behind me… Well, I turned around to get a quick look and almost peed myself! I squealed TOO loud and stamped my feet like an excited puppy or groupie and literally squeezed Susan to death, poor woman! I was so happy to see her! And poor AJ Otto was standing right there and her ears were ringing!

While I was at their booth, I met Kim Kesti, Kim Hughes, and Jennifer Schaerer! I also picked up some of those special Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab Buttons, a t-shirt (soon to be named), and a copy of Stamp It! Cards.

Stamp It! Cards is BY FAR my most favorite Paper Crafts issue to date! I brought a sharpie with me and had people sign their pages too! It’s 90 pages of fresh, fun, colorful, and inspiring card creations!

My favorite page and signed by Charlene Austin!

On a side note, I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Kim Jackson, a friend that now is an editor for Creating Keepsakes, but I did meet Megan Hoeppner and she was SUPER fab!

Card makers love to give of themselves through this connective hobby of ours. We make cards for others because we know that it will brighten their day or lighten their load in some way. We also make and give cards to others and because of the way it makes us feel: warm and joyful. There’s no doubt that sharing this kind of creativity can have healing powers: both for those to whom we give, and for ourselves in the act of giving. In this feature, we’d like to honor the occasions for which we give cards that really do help others heal: thinking of you, sympathy, miss you, encouragement, and get well.
