A card for my Grandma :)

_MG_8040Hello Blogosphere!

First off, thank you, ALL OF YOU for you emails, comments, and Facebook comments to my “Let’s Be Real” post! It’s my hope that through a more positive self-image, that I’ll be able to feel real joy for my peers’ successes rather than judgement and feelings of lower self-worth.

THANK YOU.

Back to the program-

Here’s a card I created for the recent Paper Crafts Magazine call…it’s a reject!

BUT, I totally & completely 100% stand behind this card and cannot wait to send it to my Grandma for Mother’s Day :) I used Liquitex Modeling Paste through a Creative Imaginations Stencil to create the butterfly!

I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes of an editorial board! Even though I’m sad this card didn’t make the cut, I know that there’s a rhyme & a reason! An issue has to be cohesive and representative of the month’s theme & I totally get that. Maybe my card didn’t fit the bill!

Thanks for stopping by! If you share one of your “rejects”, be it a Design Team Application creation or a Publication Call Creation, DO SHARE and link me up :)

Signature

Materials: Creative Imaginations Stencil (Cherry Blossom), Liquitex Modeling Paste, Crate Paper Collection by Maggie Holmes, Lawn Fawn Stamps (Home Sweet Home), Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (EZ dots mini permanent, 3D foam squares small white)

    GORGEOUS card!! Reject?! Pffft!! Whatever. I think it just means that your Grandma was meant to get it. It’s stunning. The texture of the butterfly, and all the color behind the white? As the card says? Lovely.

    Gorgeous card Tiff!!! Don’t call it a reject…it might not have found a companion to share the page. I wasn’t lucky enough this time, maybe next time…lol.

    Gorgeous card Tiff!
    Never think of a card not making the cut as a reject! I did at first, but realized there are sooo many designers submitting, and you just have to keep trying. So far only 1 of my cards were published, and that is over a 2+ years time period of submitting. I completing forgot about submitting this go around. Keep your chin up! {hugs}

    So pretty! And I loove the bold colors and the embellishment. I love it!! I don’t understand why it’s a reject but better for your grandma!
